Budapest, Hungary, native Barbara Palvin was discovered while running errands with her mother in a nearby village. She received her big break during the Fall 2010 season when she walked Prada in Milan, and Louis Vuitton and Nina Ricci in Paris. Palvin captured the attention of Karl Lagerfeld who cast her in a Chanel Haute Couture show in Saint-Tropez, and multiple advertising campaigns for the luxury goods company’s cosmetics and fragrance collections.

In less than two seasons on the international fashion circuit, Palvin famously walked her first Victoria’s Secret runway show, and signed on as a global beauty ambassador for L’Oréal cosmetics. She has appeared in countless print and television promotions, and made innumerable personal appearances, most notably at Cannes Film Festival, for both. Palvin has also fronted promotions for A.P.C., H&M, and Uniqlo—photographed by Ryan McGinley, and starred in Calvin Klein’s Forbidden Euphoria fragrance campaign by Steven Meisel.

Magazine covers boasting Palvin’s enviable figure include Marie Claire Italy, and Harper’s Bazaar Spain. During the Summer 2014 season, Palvin made her Hollywood film debut in Hercules opposite Dewayne Johnson.

Off-duty, Palvin is an avid reader (her favorite author is Leslie L. Lawrence), and a keen outdoorswoman with an affinity for playing soccer and fishing. She also co-founded the geo-location app, We Save Us, which provides emergency alerts for disaster relief.
